I sent in a query on a freelancing job today about BBQ of all things. MMM BBQ! Writing it got me thinking about all the different styles out there... from the Texas 24 hour slow smoked mesquite brisket to Rendezvous ribs in Memphis to vinegar mop in the Carolinas.
Here in the Birmingham area, pork is king. I've had to adapt from my beef eating ways. (However, I have been known to have County Line BBQ flown in from Texas on at least one occasion. I've also been guilty of getting Rudy's BBQ for a Thanksgiving meal when I visited my parents.)
My personal local fav when I'm not cooking is Jim n Nick's BBQ. Good flavor and they fit my gluten free living.
Gosh, this is making me hungry... time for lunch. A BBQ potato sounds good right about now!
