Kind of off topic...but when you consider how happy candy makes people, maybe not! I'm big on surprising people and providing little somethin' somethin's when possible to make people smile.
I discovered Old Time Candy website this week and gave them a spin. LOVED them. They specialize in candies from across the decades (but they have your current favorites, too.) You know what's awesome about them? Well, there are several types of awesome, but one of their coolest features is you can handpick each piece of candy if you like and create your own special bundle. I did that this week...selecting about 130 different pieces of candy. I turned in the order on Monday evening...Tuesday morning it shipped...and today it arrived on site!
People were happy. The items were exactly what I wanted them to be. It was pretty awesome. I'll definitely be using them again. No.... I'm not affiliated with them and I don't get paid or anything for recommending them. They are just too cool not to share!

Asking is hard. It implies we are deferring control, respect, and power to someone else. It says that either we can't do something for ourselves or we are trusting someone else to do it for us. It means we acknowledge we want or need help.
Yet... that's what we are called to do. It is complex - just asking, trusting, relinquishing, bowing down to, giving way to, bending, accepting, waiting. And yet it is so simple - just ask.
Try it. Just ask.
Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7 see this verse and alternate translations @ Biblehub (free!)
I'm a writer... so that means I write a bunch. Blogs are just the pieces that never make it into the final cut.
